The AHBD Method

The path of every dancer is unique and there are so many dances to choose from. That's why we have developed a system that pairs you up with an instructor who works with you to create a personalized collection of dances and steps that are suited to your dreams and goals.

Our Story

Adam Hanna Ballroom Dance began in June of 2013 because two of my students had a dream. They wanted a dance school where they could learn the dances and steps they preferred, at their own pace. They wanted to work with well trained instructors and perform with them at competitions and showcases.

Our school has now grown to include many students, working toward their own goals and dreams to perform, compete, take exams or just have fun becoming the best dancers they can be.

Adam Hanna Ballroom Dance believes that dance is for everyone and advocates for formal recognition and inclusion of any ballroom couple regardless of sex or gender in all levels of dancesport. Whether or not a student comes in with a dance partner, we are equipped and happy to teach you the leader's part, the follower's part or both.

Our goal is to create a space where every student can feel supported to become the best dancer they can be. We look forward to meeting you and working with you!

Meet the Staff

Our teachers and office staff are all excited about your dance journey and we're always looking for ways to support you and get you dancing.

Kristina Kottová

 Junior Instructor

Dance has been a part of Kristina’s life from before she was born, going back generations. Her great aunt was a prima ballerina in Czechoslovakia and her parents met at a ball. From a young age this love of dance was fostered, to the point where it was her favourite aspect of her identity. She started ballet at age 6, and added more and more dances throughout her life, including tap, jazz, belly dancing, Latin social dancing and ballroom. As a young teen she decided she wanted her focus to be on spreading the love of dance with others by teaching rather than performing, though she also loves the rush of performance.
